This is Shiloh. She lives with Ben.

She also really likes the couch, and likes to sit and lay on it in bizarre and unusual ways.

This is Ben.

We call him Spooky Ben because for the first few days he stays with us, he’s nervous around other dogs, and if you make quick movements around him he jumps and runs away. After a few days though, he gets a lot more comfortable and playful, as you can see here.

Renee was watering some dead spots in the grass, and Ben thought the hose was awesome, and decided to bite the water for a while.

That’s just some good dog fun.

So, for the next few weeks, we have a family friend staying with us. His name is Bryan, and he’s a fireman with the forestry service in California. For some bizarre reason, during his visit, he wants do do some brush clearing and tree felling for us, and we’re more than happy to let him help us and give us some tips on how to do it safely and effectively.

Here he is in his fireman outfit, which seems to have the effect of scaring the pants off most the dogs here.

Personally, I think it’s the moustache that the dogs are afraid of.

He went away for the winter, but now he’s back for some more brazen dog antagonizing. Here he is on the wood fence, confident that no dog can reach him.

Then he noticed that we were taking pictures of him, and gave us the thousand-yard stare.
